Quirky, fun and bold. I'm that girl with the Mohawk who finds herself working with leaders from across the state.

Leadership Experience

I've been working with change-makers and in public policy for as long as I can remember. Growing up with two brothers, I learned the art of political persuasion early, knowing that if I could persuade one of them to join me on any given topic, we would out-vote the other sibling every single time. From these early starts, I worked with my fellow Havre High Blue Ponies registering seniors to vote and with the Family, Community and Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) on anti-bullying campaigns.

I've had a rollercoaster career in politics and public administration since college. At MSU I joined College Democrats and eventually ran that organization but not before spending two internships at the Montana Legislature with then State Senator Jon Tester (2003 & 2005). I managed to graduate early and joined the DNC's 50-state strategy organizing for Democrats in eastern Montana out of Billings. Then I joined U.S. Senate Candidate Jon Tester as his Deputy Political Director and Director of Indian Country Outreach in his successful campaign in 2006. From an all-night celebration I booked it back to the office and took over his resume/human resources management for the transition processing over 500 applicants in a short window and landed a job as Assistant to the State Director in his Helena office. While working here I was promoted to Special Projects Manager and received my Masters in Public Administration from UM. As he geared up another campaign in 2011 & 2012, I joined the Montana Democratic Party as their Political Director and directed their Tribal Outreach Program for 2012. Not knowing what was next, I offered my services to then Governor-Elect Steve Bullock to help with resumes and joined his transition team, again processing hundreds of applicants and referrals as he built his team. It was here I was offered my current position as Boards and Appointments Advisor.

As I look ahead, I am enjoying helping Governor Steve Bullock build a pool of leaders for Montana and I am getting certified as a personal coach and have opened PLucK! Coaching to provide leadership development and one-on-one coaching to clients.

Somewhere in the mix I also married and had two wonderful girls of my own!

How I want to participate in PowerHouse

I'd be happy to work with any folks, or advance in the realm of coaching and mentorship too.
