Leadership Experience
Shannon completed two terms of service as an AmeriCorps *VISTA and *VISTA Leader and went on to serve as the Statewide Training Officer for the Governor's Office of Community Service. Since that time she has served as a Program Manager for Montana Campus Compact and invested eight years working with Montana Conservation Corps, earning the title of Director of Programs. During this time Shannon also invested significant energy into Montana's youth development and service communities, providing consulting services to youth leadership programs, university leadership programs, various civic and community organizations, nonprofit organizations, and several state agencies. In 2015, after nearly 10 years of consulting on the side, Shannon launched Verve Exchange to focus on delivering high-impact learning experiences full-time.
In addition to her professional leadership roles, Shannon has volunteered extensively with community organizations and held the following volunteer leadership positions: Bozeman Youth Initiative Board Chair, Forward Montana Board Member, Governor-Appointed Chair for the Committee for Change by Women, State Employee Charitable Giving Campaign Advisory Council Member, Helena Youth Advisory Council Member, AmeriCorps Member Advisory Council Chair, and National Corps Rendezvous Chair. In 2014, Shannon was the recipient of the AmeriCorps Alumni Local Leadership Award.
