Leadership Experience

Sarah Swanson is the General Manager and part owner of Farm Equipment Sales, a John Deere dealer group with four locations throughout Eastern Montana. Together with her team of 100 industry leading ag professionals, FES provides high tech equipment sales and solutions, and supports the farmers and ranchers of 12 Montana and 2 North Dakota counties with parts and service. With deep homestead roots in Northeast Montana, Sarah works to enrich rural communities for future generations, while supporting the men and women of agriculture working in acres instead of hours.

Sarah is a tireless advocate for Eastern Montana and is passionate about doing her part to bridge the east vs. west divide plaguing Montana. She volunteers her time for countless causes to ensure that Eastern Montana and production agriculture always have a seat at the table. She is President of the Montana Equipment Dealers Association and Coordinator of the Milk River Watershed Alliance, and serves on the Montana Chamber of Commerce, the Montana Retail Association, the national Equipment Dealers Association Government Relations Commitee, and the Montana Restaurant Associations Education and Workforce Development Foundation. Sarah supports the men and women of the armed forces by volunteering for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and the USS Montana Committee, and she is a graduate of Leadership Montana and the Spader Business Management Leadership Development Program.

Sarah resides in Glasgow, Montana with her son Cale (16). In her free time, Sarah can be found crisscrossing Montana in her Ford F150 supporting the Glasgow Scotties. All that windshield time is spent putting her collaborative spirit to work building new connections along the way to spread awareness of the challenges facing Eastern Montana and supporting those working to solve them.
