Leadership Experience
Leadership has been a part of my life since a young age where I participated in many team sports such as rugby, soccer and hockey. I was often designated a role as captain or assistant captain due to my willingness to take on responsibility and follow through when given tasks. My outgoing personality and sense of ease speaking in front of large groups or decision making created a natural tendency for me to lead a group. This grew into a passion for organization and community connection often volunteering to represent my groups as a lead speaker or attendee at events. During college and graduate school, I maintained a role as the Vice President of Student Council and President of various other organizations helping to coordinate events and foster communication between the student body and administration and staff. This was a huge learning curve of my leadership journey, discovering how to delegate and inspire others by setting an example as a leader and figuring out that being a true leader meant helping others figure out what they are best and how to use their own skills in order to contribute and feel invested in any given project. Now I am a Doctor of Chiropractic in my community and guide and inspire members of my community to take action in their health. I organize community events, run a business and assist many community members in becoming educated on proper health, what that means and how they can achieve it.
How I want to participate in PowerHouse
Contact me for any reason! I love to connect with other women and hear about their businesses and business struggles and successes or even just their day to day lives. There is always something to learn from someone else, a way to be better than we are today and an opportunity to touch someone else's life in a positive way. Especially if you are in the Flathead Valley I would love to network and get to know more people in the area.
