Leadership Experience

My roles within a dynamic, growing public accounting firm were varied. I was responsible for creating processes for work product, while remaining flexible to changing client needs and maintaining compliance and efficiency. I brought in new work by exemplifying our firm's ability to be nimble, technical and to accommodate a client's needs. My staff exhibited the professionalism required by the industry, while remaining personable and relatable to our clients. I managed an increasing volume of work, greater numbers of staff persons and deadline driven compliance. My passion was for client service-- get the job done efficiently and vigorously. I am able to listen to the client's concerns and modify my work to their specific needs. I built a department from one to seven staff persons with a growing book of business each year.

I offer motivated, personable consulting with small business owners on a variety of needs such as hiring, budgeting, accounting system design and governmental compliance. Each accounting system is designed or modified with the client's skill set in mind, keeping an eye on future growth and business changes.

I am confident, competent and have a demonstrated ability to put the clients and the team at ease in the face of challenging and technical work projects. I thrive in deadline-driven environments and I possess excellent team-building skills. I possess and entrepreneurial drive to make things better, make things more efficient, build processes and then step aside to allow them to flourish under the capable hands of a team emboldened by the vision.

How I want to participate in PowerHouse

I offer small business consulting, specifically around accounting system analysis and design. This can simply be a look at the numbers, or developing methods to track data that fits each small business. I will ask, "What do you want to know? What are your challenges?" and work from there.
