This website is owned and operated by the Montana Community Foundation. Our intention is to inform and educate visitors about our work as a grantmaker, community resource and philanthropic partner to individuals, families, nonprofit organizations, financial advisors and businesses. We are committed to protecting your privacy online. When you visit our site, we may ask you for personal information from you such as your name and e-mail address.
Personal Information
Your right to privacy is very important to us. We recognize providing Montana Community Foundation with your personal information is an act of trust. When you visit Montana Community Foundation online, you remain anonymous, as we do not require registration to view our website or access information.
We may occasionally ask for your feedback via surveys or other communications to better understand your interests and needs. We will also request information through online forms used to register for our electronic newsletter or special events. We do not share or make public any personal information gathered through our website.
If you are a Montana Community Foundation fund representative and you use our online system, you provide personal information to authenticate your identity. That information is only used on this site and is not distributed or sold to any other party or site. Our secure system for donors is hosted with Type II SAS70 certification and/or SAEE-16 and uses transport-layer encryption RSA 2048 bits/SHA1. It is designed to meet the online banking trading security audit standard to provide security and privacy when you access fund information, initiate online fund transactions or send secure messages.
In addition, our site uses the Google Analytics web analytics service. Information recorded by Analytics includes information such as how you arrived at our site (including the URL you came from, if you arrived from another site), your network name, your browser type, which type of Internet browsing device you are using, the country, state, and city where your server is located, and the pages that were viewed during your visit to our site.
This site uses two specific Google Analytics features: Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. These features generate information about a user’s age, gender and interests from Google’s Interest-based advertising or third-party audience data to improve services on this website. This information is tracked using Google’s DoubleClick cookie.
We do not and will not merge any personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information previously collected unless you have been given notice of and have given prior affirmative (i.e. opt-in) consent to that merger. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this website is restricted by the Google Privacy Policy. To provide website visitors more choice on how their data is collected by Google Analytics, Google has developed an Opt-out Browser add-on, which is available by visiting Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, to enable you to opt-out of Google’s programs.
Finally, we do not sell or rent personal information to others. If at any time you wish to stop receiving Montana Community Foundation’s electronic newsletters or other communications, or to be removed from our email list, you may unsubscribe from that list as explained in each message. Montana Community Foundation will not give your email addresses to other organizations; however, we may occasionally send you mailings regarding events, products or services by reputable third parties if we think they may be of interest to you. In such circumstances, we do not provide the organization with your information, but send the mailing ourselves.
