The Women’s Foundation of Montana Awards $36,000 in Grants to Benefit Montana Women and Girls


Grants support STEM programs, advocacy, leadership programs, entrepreneurship, and wage-negotiation classes for Montana women and girls

HELENA, MONT.—The Women’s Foundation of Montana, a program of the Montana Community Foundation, is pleased to award $36,000 in grants to organizations serving women and girls across the state.

  • $3,000- Girls Thrive
  • $3,000- Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming
  • $3,000- AAUW-Montana
  • $3,000- Prospera Women’s Business Center
  • $5,000- Hopa Mountain
  • $3,000- Red Ants Pants Foundation
  • $3,000- YWCA Missoula - GUTS! GRIT Program
  • $5,000- Montana Budget and Policy Center
  • $3,000- Mansfield Center at the University of Montana - NEW Leadership Program
  • $5,000- Montana Women Vote

These ten organizations are all long-time partners of WFM. They were selected by the WFM Advisory Committee to receive funding to sustain important initiatives and programs that align with WFM’s mission to grow the economic security of women and create a brighter future for girls in Montana. These grants will support the survival of STEM programs, advocacy programs, leadership programs, entrepreneurship, and wage-negotiation classes.

“We understand that nonprofits are facing trying times due to the current crisis. During this time, WFM is more committed than ever to investing strategically in programs and initiatives we feel are making real economic progress for Montana women and girls,” said Jen Euell, WFM Program Director. “Our grants this year aren’t limited to supporting particular work, but rather are given in a spirit of mutual trust and support. We want grantees to use the funds for whatever they need to survive the crisis and come out strong on the other side. We truly are in this together.”
