Leadership Experience

As a mother of four, I want to do everything I can to keep my children healthy and safe. I want to help them avoid going through what my husband, father and countless other family members and friends have experienced: battling cancer. Thus, I have dedicated the last nine years of my life to educating others about the importance of lessening our exposures to environmental toxins. Three years ago, I joined a company called Beautycounter and became one of the first consultants in Montana. I now lead a team of 170+ consultants in sharing our mission of getting safer products into the hands of everyone as a managing director, Beautycounter’s highest honor.

I have also started advocating for more health protective laws in the personal care and cosmetics industry at both the state and federal levels. I am a proud actionista with Women’s Voices for the Earth and continue my educational efforts by teaching non-toxic living classes and through speaking engagements across the state. I have several new projects in the works, including my blog focusing on tips for lessening everyday toxins and the Montana Healthy Living Exchange Network, which will give an online platform for Montana health and wellness experts to connect with others, particularly those new to a less toxic living lifestyle.

In addition to marketing and communications, I have experience in non-profits, state government, journalism and risk management. I also own an international walking tour company called Southern Treks Adventures, which focuses on adventure travel in Europe, Iceland, New Zealand and Australia, and the US. I currently reside in Helena with my husband, Casey, and our four children (Winn 6, Leighton 6, Mary Mac 4, and Asher 7 months). During my free time, I love skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer, reading and conducting research, and spending time with my family and friends.
