I am a member of Leadership Montana’s Class of 2017 and the inaugural Master’s Class of 2019, serve on the Missoula Alumni Committee, am a certified Gracious Space facilitator, and serve on the advisory council of the Gracious Space Institute – a national initiative to increase civility and collaborative leadership.
I am a founding board member for the Red Ants Pants Foundation, which is dedicated to fostering strength and self-reliance in rural, agricultural communities and in women. The Foundation oversees the Red Ants Pants Music Festival, teaches traditional skills workshops for women (chainsaw training and carpentry), and in eight years, has granted more than $100,000 to small-scale growers and producers, non-profit organizations, and additional organizations benefiting rural, agricultural communities. 2019 marks the inaugural girl’s leadership program, focusing on high-school girls in rural communities.
I celebrated four years cancer-FREE in September 2019 and am committed to improving lives from diagnosis through survivorship. I’m a member of the Silver Lining Foundation and Montana’s first survivor dragon boat team, a legislative advocate for American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, and facilitate workshops on sharing stories for advocacy.
For six years, I served on the board of Garden City Harvest, which is dedicated to building community through agriculture. Garden City Harvest recently completed building a $2.8M Community Farmstead to expand programming beyond teaching how to grow food to also include food preparation and preservation. Current programming includes Farm to School, Community Gardens, Youth Development, and Neighborhood Farms.
How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse
I am happy to connect, share knowledge, and help grow Montana’s greatest resource!
After graduating with honors from Middlebury College, I launched my career at Blue Media Ventures, an adventure lifestyle multimedia company in New York City. I drove through Missoula on my way back to NYC fifteen years ago, stopped for a fateful cup of coffee at Bernice’s Bakery, and fell head-over-heels for Montana. I spontaneously decided to move to Missoula with the clothes in my car, and am so thankful I took that leap. I founded Studio Verde Creative in 2010 as a client-centric creative agency that shapes and shares stories designed to elevate awareness, activate support, and amplify impact. As a creative and strategic team leader, I find innovation in unexpected intersections and apply that insight to branding and multi-phase, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
