Leadership Experience

I’ve always been the type to jump in fully to whatever activities I take on, and that has often lead to “leadership” in one form or another.  I’ve been a leader of women’s ministry at a relatively large church, a leader of classes/small groups in organization from law firms (in a past career I was a litigator for a large law firm in the Bay Area) to schools to churches.

Currently I am on the Board of Directors at Manhattan Christian School, and the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Twice Treasured Thrift Store, a non-profit retail store opened in July of 2016 to support Manhattan Christian School.

I often find that my leadership manifests itself in less formal ways.  I’m the friend people come to with their concerns and needs for advise.  I don’t know if it is just because I’m willing to express an honest yet gentle opinion or if the fact that I’m willing to listen before I start spouting off ideas of solutions, but my problem solving skills seem to be sought out by friends and colleagues alike.  I enjoy engaging at a real and practical level, and feel honored when approached for a bit of brainstorming and problem solving.

How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse

Contact me if you need photos for your business – what you do all day is beautiful, and I love to capture your work in action so you can show your customers and potential customers the actions behind your brand.  You are also welcome to contact me for a listening ear and brainstorming session about your creative entrepreneur endeavors – if I don’t know what you need me to know, I often can help you connect with someone who does.
