Leadership Experience

I have been an entrepreneur in Montana for the past 25 years, leading my coaching company, Leadership Outfitters, with my husband, Joe Esparza.  We offer leadership retreats, individual coaching intensives, team or group coaching, and Women’s Leadership Communities.  I am so grateful we are still here in Bozeman after the 2008 recession.  Prior to starting our business, I worked at Miller Brewing Company for 14 years, working my way up to leading their Organizational Development department.  I was thrilled when I was able to develop an internal consulting division of our department, working with Miller’s senior officers and their teams.  When I started at Miller, not too many women were in the senior leadership ranks, let alone women with children.  I had two sons and probably 20 “lessons learned” while figuring out how to balance my family and work at a time when women were still finding our way without much company support or understanding.  Those are some of the leadership stories I like to share as a foundation of light and illumination for women leaders today.  It’s not a solitary journey we are on; we all really need each other.

Prior to Miller, I worked for the City of Milwaukee, WI, for five years in the Affirmative Action department, right after the Civil Rights Act was passed.  I experienced some of the most inspiring work of my career as I lead workshops focusing on male/female and black/white work relationships.  I had the pleasure of working with some amazing people who helped me learn, grow, and develop in ways that shaped the rest of my career.

My focus has always been in the leadership arena, probably stemming from my experience with my own in-house mentor growing up, my executive Dad.  He still offers his two cents to our business, too!

How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse

Contact me if:

  1. I can be a resource for connecting you to others or yourself.

  4. You just want to connect.
  5. You want to change and aren’t sure how or where to begin.

As I said above, this is not a solitary journey we are on.  We all really need each other.
