As the Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Saint Joseph, I have had the opportunity this past year to recruit young women to a school that has been a women’s college for the past 85 years. I will be a part of the team to recruit the first young men to attend USJ as traditional undergraduate students as the school makes the transition to a coeducational university beginning fall 2018.
Previously, I volunteered as the AmeriCorps*VISTA for the Women’s Foundation of Montana, helping to grow PowerHouse Montana in the early stages. I started #MentorMondayMT across the state. I left a part of my heart in Montana when I made the decision to move back to the Northeast.
How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse
You need a kick in the butt to return to school! I know that school is not for everyone, but if you are pondering going back for a couple courses or for your doctorate, I will convince you that it is the right decision. I also spend half the year reading undergraduate applications and helping to send graduate applications to faculty-if you need someone to help with your application, let me know.
I have my B.S. in Women and Gender Studies and am working on my M.A. in School Counseling.
