Leadership Experience

Appointed Executive Director of YWCA Helena in April 2009, I have led the once struggling and volunteer-only organization to a place of strength, fiscal sustainability, and programmatic growth.  I led a successful $2.6 million dollar capital campaign and building renovation, was recognized as the Small Business Employer of the Year, and continue to redefine and solidify YWCA Helena’s place and mission in the greater community.

Born and raised in Helena, I moved to Southern California and earned my degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Administration from California State University, Fullerton.  I bring over 25 years’ experience in government and nonprofit management, advocacy, strategic planning, fiscal management, fundraising, marketing, program design and evaluation, grant management, and financial analysis.

I’m an active member of Rotary, the Townsend Health Center Board of Directors, YWCA USA CEO Advisory Council, Helena’s Citizens Advisory Council Steering Committee, and City of Gold Toastmasters, and am board president of Women Of the West – a group of YWCA leaders from the Northwest region.  A sought after public speaker, I am the proud parent of five young adult sons and a fifteen-year-old daughter.  I ski when she I have free time in the winter, and I hike in the summer.

How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse

This is new for me.  I’d welcome the opportunity to mentor and be mentored.
