Helping women take control of their personal finances. Reducing expenses, budgeting, creating passive income, paying off debt, investing for retirement, and building a life with more financial freedom.
I write, speak and work one on one with women to help them realize more financial freedom. Sometimes we lack the information to make good choices, but more often we lack the encouragement and mentors. Money can be a taboo topic. That can make it hard for people to ask for help. I try to counter that by being as open and transparent as possible, whether writing on my blog or speaking to a group. I have worked with ladies one on one to help create a plan that enables them to meet their goals. Personal finance is easy to understand, but sometimes tough to implement.
How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse
I was born and raised in the wheat and cattle part of Montana. I know that Montana women have the strength, work ethic and intelligence to accomplish so much. I want to help mentor women with big dreams, passions and goals. If we can figure out the personal finance issues that hold us back, I know even more greatness can be unleashed. We will give more, create more, participate more, and be agents of change in our state.
I love people! I love chatting with folks. I love speaking to groups. I really love a good cup of tea. If you need a money friend: to give some direction, to cheer you on, or help you sort out the things that are holding you back; just reach out. If your looking for someone to come chat with your group, I will do my best to be there. In the last 14 years, we have been able to pay off $50,000 of debt, live abroad, travel through 27 countries, pay cash for our first house, build passive income and adopt 4 kids. I’m am able to live the life I dreamed about, and I love to encourage other women to do the same. Whatever your passion or purpose in life, having more financial freedom will be a blessing.
I have been married 14 years. We love living in the Flathead valley. We have 5 little kids at home, a dog named Cheesy Taco and 7 ducks. We spend our weekends in the garden, playing at Flathead lake, hiking in Glacier National Park or eating ice cream. We moved back to Montana 4 years ago after being gone far too long.
