Global Health, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, Higher Education
I am a physical therapist and certified orthopedic manual therapist and have been practicing since 2006. I now focus more of my energy in teaching PT but still maintain a practice at the UM Physical Therapy clinic. As a clinical assistant professor, I teach clinical medicine, orthopedics, and global health topics. I am also the Associate Director of Clinical Education which involves management of a network of 300+ hospitals and clinics that provide onsite training for our students. My research and outreach work focus on global health education which includes engaging US students in working and learning in underserved, international sites as well as providing education to foreign PTs in low-resource countries.
How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse
I am excited to be part of the Women’s Foundation of Montana and PowerHouse Montana. It is a great opportunity to gain support and insight from other motivated and talented women throughout the state. I look forward to the chance to build a network of mentors and mentees to advance women in education, work and life.
