Leadership Experience

Emily has been working with children and families for about 10 years, and does not plan on stopping anytime soon. It began with volunteering to teach children how to swim, and then blossomed through her college education into her career at Thrive. In between those years, she worked in education and conservation. She likes to think of herself as a quiet leader and avid supporter within her workplace and community alike.

  • Co-directed the MSU Office of Sustainability during a time of transition
  • Part of the Emergency Response Team in Yellowstone National Park
  • Assistant Professor of the Introductory and Advanced Swim Course at MSU
  • Joseph “Joey” McKeon Leadership Scholarship

How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse

Emily believes that curiosity is what sustains passion, in all aspects of life. She is constantly open to new experiences and hopes this one in particular will connect her with other women across Montana as a Mentee.
