I am a professor of Communication at UM and former President of the National Communication Association, an 8,000 member scholarly society in DC.
- Public Speaking
- Serving on a Board
All forms of oral communication
I have been on the board of 7 different nonprofit organizations, ranging from conservation, to the arts, to scholarly societies, and have been elected president of six of these NPOs. I have mentored over 50 graduate students and have also served as an associate provost for academic affairs, a dean, and a department chair.
My teaching and research experience lies in the area of organizational communication – I teach courses on communication in non profit organizations, small group communication, and organizational training and development. I adapt all of the information that I teach in these courses to my leadership abilities and experience.
While I could provide more information here, I’d much rather talk face-to-face.
