Hi! I am Amanda, and I am a young professional loving every minute of the life I get to live in Montana. I am so excited to connect!

I currently serve as the Chair of Montana Action for Healthy Kids, where I am actively working with small teams across the state in an effort to increase healthy environments for kiddos in schools and communities.
Professionally I am an unofficial project manager- working to establish electronic data exchanges between immunization providers in Montana, and the state immunization database. The electronic sharing of this data allows for accurate and effective decision making at the point of care, allows for a more accurate estimate of immunization rates in our state, and also increases stewardship of state and federally funded vaccines.
I am actively involved in the Montana Public Health Association’s work around policy and advocacy- working to increase membership awareness and involvement in advocacy activities that promote public health to our law and policy makers.
Previously I served as the Chair of Eat Right Montana Coalition- a state wide coalition of health champions working to provide consistent evidence based messages around physical activity and nutrition.
As the Vice President of the Associated Students of Montana State University I was actively involved in campaigning for and passing the tobacco free campus initiative.
How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse
I am seeking mentorship from the PowerHouse community- specifically in the areas of personal finance and professional skill enhancement. I am also excited for the chance to meet fellow bold women who aren’t afraid to shatter the glass ceiling! I am a Montana native, and have had the experience of moving away, living the fast city life, and experiencing all that has to offer; including no lack of inspiration and motivation from people all over the world. I know that I desire the Montana quality of life, combined with a big city quality of networking and inspiration- which is what I hope to contribute to in this community.
One of my professional goals is to be a female business owner in Montana- I am highly passionate about wellness, specifically how we fuel our bodies, and the opportunities we take to recharge ourselves through acts of self care and kindness. If anyone is interested in joining me on that quest- let’s connect!
I am a proud big sister to 10 siblings, each of which has taught me what it means to be a role model and to always show compassion and respect to the people and places that I encounter.
I love to be outside- on any given day you can find me hiking, biking, paddling down a river, soaking in a hot spring, trying to grow a garden, kicking it with my amazing group of lady friends, or playing with my family somewhere new. You will likely also find me eating- I am a true foodie.
