As Marketing Specialist at the United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area, I had the privilege of serving alongside public and private leaders in Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, and Broadwater counties as we worked to increase education, income, and health for all.
As Communications Manager for the State of Montana Health Care and Benefits Division, I was proud to be part of the team to manage the country’s first no-cost public employee health care clinics. I also lead the communication effort in changing the way hospitals bill the State of Montana for medical service called Reference Based Pricing. This change is saving taxpayers millions on the cost of public employee health care.
In my current position as Member Relations Strategist for the MMIA, I work with Montana’s municipal leaders in a variety of areas including getting Montana Cities and Towns on board with Reference Based Pricing.
How I Want to Participate in PowerHouse
I would love to serve as a resource when it comes to any and all communications questions. I am a great writer and editor and find satisfaction in helping others proofread professional and personal writing from cover letters and resumes to Masters theses and op-eds.
I am passionate about a wide variety of topics including education, women’s rights, public land access, Montana’s infrastructure, access to affordable healthcare and more. I would be willing to advocate in any way that might be helpful for these and other issues.
In addition, I have a deep understanding of health benefits. I would be willing to answer general questions regarding health insurance.
